A Viva-Voce Examination conducted today. Mr. Maneesh Kumar defended his Thesis titled "Prospectives of Health and Diseas in a Tribal Community: The Case of Sugali Rayalaseema Region of Andhra Pradesh". Research scholars students and teaching staff of various departments have attended in the Viva and raised various questions and also made suggestions. Mr. Maneesh Kumar answered and responded to all of the questions and comments in a very satisfactory way. The remaining process at various levels would continue regarding this thesis.

Prof. P. Subbachary Delivered a Special Lecture as Chief Guest in a National Seminar on "Cultural Trends in Folk Literature" At Sri Sharada Mahavidyalaya P.G Centre of Tiruvallur University, Tamil Nadu on 18th March 2016.
The Department is going to offer a New P.G Course M.A in Traditional Theatre from the Academic Year 2016-17.
