AWARDS AND OTHER DISTINCTIONS OF THE FACULTY

Prof. P. Subbachary


1.      Awarded Gold Medal for standing first among all candidates of M.A. (Telugu) in Osmania University.
2.      Awarded “Ramaraju Janapada Vijnana Bahumati” (1991) for the book “Structural Study of Telugu Wonder Tale” a comparison of the theory of the Morphology of the Folk Tale with Sandhi Sandhyanga of Kavyasastra. (Janapada Adbhuta Khatha Nirmanam ) by Andhra Pradesh Folklore Academy. (A.P. Jnanapada Sahitya Parishat).
3.      Got selected in National Educational Test (Master's Level) conducted by U.G.C. and had been awarded J.R.F. for research.
4.      Trained in International Workshop Series on Folkloristics sponsored by the Ford Foundation. (1988 and 1989)
5.      Trained in Folklore Fellows Summer School, organized by the Joensuu University. Finland during June - July 1995 and presented a paper there.
6.      Conferred Associate Membership in Folklore Fellows International, in a ceremony at Mekrijarvi Research Station Joensuu University Finland, instituted by Finnish Academy of Science and Letters, Helsinki.
7.      General Secretary: A.P. Janapada Sahitya Parishat (from – 1999- 2003)
8.      Vice- President: Indian Folklore Congress Association (from- 2003)

9.   Awarded with "Best Teacher Award" of Government of Andhra Pradesh by the Chief Minister Sri. Nara Chandra Babu Naidu on 5th September 2015 on the Teacher's Day.

7.      2002-Best singer award given by all India radio station, Tirupati. 
8.      2005-National level first prize sketch tour mind in NIC Camp, Bhubaneswar, Orissa.
9.      2006- Best youth leader in NSS youth festival at Vishakhapatnam.
10.  2010- Best Co-odinator Silver Medal given by University of Mysore, Mysore.
11. "Samajika Sevarathna" is awarded by the Universal Peace Cross Society, Hyderabad 2015.
